Salary: $85,280 - 85,280 per year Requirements:
- We need candidates who are members of, or willing to join, the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- We are seeking a dedicated North America Branch team member who is eager to learn and take ownership of troubleshooting, repairs, and aftermarket service work.
- We require a minimum of eight years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC field, ideally within industrial petrochemical or data center environments, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing.
- We expect experience repairing centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and/or ammonia or hydrocarbon system components.
- We require maintained ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
- We need the ability to install complete systems, including chillers, rooftop units, plumbing, and related mechanical systems.
- We require mechanical shaft alignment skills using dial indicators, laser tools, and similar equipment for pumps, fans, and compressors.
- We need experience using vibration analysis equipment to diagnose driveline issues.
- We may require travel of 10% to 20% to support branch customer activities, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- We require passing a knowledge assessment to verify technical proficiency.
- We expect willingness to enroll in training programs to build HVAC product knowledge and sales quoting capability.
- We require the ability to work with local mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices, and to provide on-the-job coaching when needed.
- We value strong attention to detail, along with interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills.
- We require the ability to document customer problems, causes, and corrective actions clearly.
- We need the ability to prepare quotes for customers and participate in our Service Plus Rewards program.
- We expect a self-starter who is motivated to learn and apply new skills on the job.
- We require a strong commitment to safety in all forms.
- We require a universal EPA refrigerant license, any applicable state or local licensing, and a valid drivers license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Responsibilities: - We provide maintenance, repair, and replacement services for commercial heating and cooling systems.
- We work on light commercial and heavy commercial teams using advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment.
- We service commercial HVACR systems and may partner with journeymen on centrifugal, steam turbine, absorption machine, open-drive screw chiller, and ammonia system repairs.
- We deliver the highest level of customer service to resolve facility inefficiencies and address service-related issues.
- We act as trusted advisors, offering solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
- We recommend improvements that help facilities operate more efficiently, including upsell opportunities.
- We prepare quotes to support our recommendations and solutions.
- We participate in factory certification through our Service Technical Academy and ongoing development programs.
- We collaborate with local market mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices, and provide on-the-job training when necessary.
- We communicate customer problems, root causes, and corrective actions clearly and professionally.
- We support branch customer activities, troubleshooting, installation, and repair work as needed.
- We use our tools, uniforms, and company vehicle to serve customers to the highest standard.
