Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking qualified applicants for a Special Education Aide vacancy at Northside Intermediate School. This position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible. The position work 36 hours and 15 minutes per week, with a daily schedule of 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (7 hours and 15 minutes per day).
The starting wage is $18.30 per hour, with additional compensation available for candidates who have prior special education experience in a public-school setting. The School District of Milton also offers a highly competitive benefits package.
Qualifications:
The School District of Milton is seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to support teachers and students with disabilities in a variety of settings. Responsibilities may include providing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support; assisting with student transportation; completing clerical tasks; and, as needed, providing personal care.
Qualified candidates will be well organized, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and meet the physical demands of the position.
